For the Grand Homecoming/Supreme Visitation we had a Victorian theme dinner and a western murder mystery. I really liked the idea and since I am on the committee, I had to have a costume; plus it is an excuse to make something. I went with my favorite color scheme, red and black.

Fabric Ideas- For the bodice and overskirt I have a red cotton brocade, a picture is below. For the cuffs, collar, and vest I may use velvet. For the underskirt I went with a simple black cotton twill.

For shoes, I am going to wear some black lace up boots from Sketchers.
I also decided to have a crinoline for underneath the skirt, 3 hoop skirt
6/23/08: I finally have a picture of me in the outfit, it is not the best but it works.
4/21/08: I finished the outfit! I have some pictures of the complete outfit, i will have some better ones after the dinner.
