Plaid Skirt

I have tried to do some more pattern altering/drafting/using other than comercial patterns. I made a elizabethan corset before (that is no longer usable and needs to be redone.) The first attemp for me is pretty simple, a skirt. I decided to try RedDawn's simple gathered skirt. I actually started this awhile ago, but life got in the way and I finished it today. It was very easy, I pleated instead of gathered so I could practice. I used more than required amount of fabric, but it worked fine. I also left the self edge as the hem. For this first try I used some plaid rose and cream flannel fabric that I had bought. I now have either a scottish lass or civil war skirt, depending on what I wear with it. Picture is below, the skirt is worn with my hoop skirt under it
